Our home is in Ozone Park, Queens, New York City. It was built in 1929 and the interior is nearly identical to the "Archie Bunker" style of house from the TV show All in The Family. The house has three bedrooms upstairs with a full bath. The main floor has a porch, dining room, living room, and kitchen. The basement is partly finished with a seven-foot ceiling.
I have been told our house is a Colonial and I have confirmed it has balloon frame construction.
What is it? The style is nothing like the Colonials as seen on the Web, but I can't find anything it truly resembles. If it is a Colonial, what type of colonial is it?
- Any info on the design or style is appreciated
