About My House
My home is in Cedar Falls, IA. I am not certain if it is Cape Cod architecture or not. I would love to know if this is considered a Cape Cod Thanks!
It was built in 1940.
The garage is original but wasn't originally attached. A breezeway was built connecting the house and garage.
Cape Cod Features
One unique feature is the front being indented. The right and left front wall sticks out farther than the middle of the front. The reason the two ends stick out is because there are built-in book shelves on those ends. I don't know that this is anything special or if it is a Cape Cod feature. But I haven't seen this feature anywhere before.
One thing this house does not have that seems to be a Cape Cod feature are dormers upstairs.
Lessons Learned
- I really haven't experienced any problems.
