About My Bungalow
On the bayou in Tarpon Springs, FL. Home built in 1913. Most of the home is still original. We are trying to continue renovation with original materials.
Favorite Details
We love the whole house!! The wood floors and wood detail throughout the house is beautiful. My husband has repaired all the windows so that the double hung windows all work. 90% of the windows are original glass. Still has the original door knobs (crystal) on all the doors and the original locks with the skeleton keys still work too, even though we have added additional security locks. The coal chute has been made into a window and we have added Central A/C and heating.
Lessons Learned
You learn to come up with fun ways to incorporate storage without it being visible and to make it part of the charm of the home
