About My Bungalow
This is a 1924 Sears or Aladdin Bungalow. A Tennessee newspaper had an article about it. The owner said that it was brought in by a train and then built. She said it was an Aladdin. It was the first house in the Culleoka, Tennessee area that had plumbing. A lot has been printed on the history of this house.
Favorite Details
Our house has 10-feet high ceilings, wood floors, porches, and tall windows. The back porch was added in 1958. My wife and I added the deck overlooking an acre of land. We love sitting on the porch having our morning coffee. Culleoka is a nice small town where everyone knows this house.
Lessons Learned
- We did downsize, so for us this house was what we always wanted when the kids moved out.
- Get some air beds when you have company over. It's a lot of fun.
