Drawn in March 2004, this rendering shows Michael Arad and Peter Walker's original vision for the World Trade Center memorial. Their plans have since gone through several revisions, but the original concept remains: waterfalls will tumble into shallow pools, symbolizing all that was lost in the terrorist attacks.

As part of this memorial, architect Craig Dykers has designed a memorial museum that includes artifacts from the original buildings.
