Nebraska State Capitol

Nebraska had two earlier capitol buildings, but both buildings deteriorated. Architect Bertram Grosvenor Goodhue designed the current Nebraska State Capitol in 1920.

Constructed of Nebraska limestone, the Nebraska capitol building has lavish rooms with mosaic floors, wall murals, marble columns, and tile ceilings. The Nebraska Capitol was constructed in four phases over ten years, from 1922-1932.
