The Walter Gropius House

When Walter Gropius, founder of the German movement known as Bauhaus, came to the United States he built a modest home that combined Bauhaus ideas with New England details. He used traditional New England materials like wood, brick, and fieldstone. He also used industrial materials like chrome and glass.
