From Jackie Craven Adare FriaryAugustinian Abbey Church in Adare, County Limerick, Ireland Founded in 1316 by the Earl of Kildare, the Adare Friary was once known as the Black Abbey. Today, Adare Friare is St. Nicholas' parish church and school.
