The phrase House Beautiful was used in the early 20th century to express the idea that life could be improved through artful design of everyday objects. The ideals of this movement were central to Frank Lloyd Wright's thinking throughout his architectural career.
The Frank Lloyd Wright and the House Beautiful exhibition was organized by International Art & Artists, Washington, D.C. in cooperation with The Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation, Scottsdale, Arizona. The exhibition has appeared at the Portland Museum of Art (hear exhibition podcast) and other museums.
