Craftsman Houses
When we speak of Craftsman houses, we often think of bungalows. But in the early 1900s, many types of homes were inspired by the Arts and Crafts movement. This photo gallery shows a variety of houses with Craftsman handiwork. Bungalow Styles
1905-1930. A radical departure from the complicated Victorian styles, the American Bugalow was popularized through mail order catalogs. Prairie School
1900-1920 Frank Lloyd Wright pioneered this low, linear style. California Mission
1890-1920. Although the Mission style is based on simple adobe mission churches, many houses in this style also incorporate Arts & Crafts features. American Foursquare
1905-1930. This practical, economical style became one of the most popular in the United States. |
