TJDavidson sends us this mystery:

This house was built in 1915-1916 and is in southwest Michigan. The neighborhood has a mix of colonial revival (including some Dutch colonial), classic revival, foursquares, and prairie-ish homes.

Exterior: Stucco exterior. There are false beams and triangular knee braces at the peak ends of the house, but no exposed rafters. The columned main entrance has an arched window over the door and side lights. The porch on the left end of the house has columns like the entryway - it was enclosed after the house was built, we think. Lots of connected six-over-one windows.

Interior: It has a central 8' wide reception hall. Rooms are all large and generally square. Ceilings are nine foot high. The interior trim is generally plain and appears to have always been painted. Nice plaster job, but nothing fancy. There are pocket doors between the hall and the dining room and between the living room and what we're calling the library. The dining room seems to have an arts and crafts influence - a coffered (has a 'grid' of beams) ceiling and tall wainscoting. The kitchen is fairly large and has a butler pantry with original cabinetry. The cabinetry is similar to new cabinetry that is often called either 'shaker' or 'mission'. There's also a sunroom with arched windows, visible in the photo on the right end of the house.

The 2nd floor has four large bedrooms and a large sleeping porch that runs nearly the entire width of the house.

The 3rd floor is finished (plastered) with a fifth bedroom and a large open area.

Any ideas of style?"
