From Marianne:

"The house was built in 1890.

The view you have is of the front (right) and the side (left) of the house. A garage is somewhat visible behind the front porch. We know the history of the garage that doesn't quite go with the house. Only a front porch existed then. There were 2 porches from the back -- One from the first floor and one from the second floor. In 1910, the wrap around porch was added & the back porches were enclosed. The sleeping porch has windows that slide sideways while the first floor porch has triple windows.

We need to put a kitchen in to (actually added on) the house. We are trying to be as historically accurate as we can. So we are trying to determine what the appropriate flooring material would be. The original kitchen was in the basement and a butler's pantry was on the first floor. The pantry has been converted to a small nonfunctional kitchen.

Thanks for your help."
