From John and Jeanette:

"My wife and I found this 1930 house in Wellington, Kansas. It was built by a local banker as far as I know. I think he wanted a vault when he built the house. The exterior walls are 10 inches thick lumber and the interior load bearing wall is 12" thick. It sits on a corner lot just south of the downtown area on the main street. The houses in the area are mixed (some Tudors, bungalows, Victorian and cape cod).....then there's mine, and I can't figure out what it is.

The living room is 16 X 31 and runs down the whole side of the house, except for the sunroom at the back of it. It has French doors that open on to a wrap around front porch of brick and either tile or colored concrete (I can't tell for sure). All the windows downstairs are beveled glass lower with etched glass upper, except 3 leaded glass ones in the foyer. Upstairs are four bedrooms of nearly equal size and two baths. Off the master bedroom and over the sunroom is a half wall screened in porch which encompasses the original roofline.

We really want to keep this place original and would like some help on its style."
