Folk Victorian?

Is this house a Folk Victorian?

Daryl Shreve from Virginia sends us this mystery:

Our home was built in 1906. The home sits on a corner lot here in Virginia. It has three bedrooms upstairs, a nursery, a full bath, and an extra room that has a back stairway to the kitchen. My wife and I enjoy our balcony off our bedroom, pictured left in the photo. The main floor has a large foyer, a family room with an ornate mirrored fireplace, eight-foot pocket doors leading to the living room with another mirrored fireplace, French doors leading to the dining room, which has another fireplace. The kitchen is very large. The home sits on two city lots. In the far corner of the property sits a carriage house, which was used many years ago by the local college.

I have three questions: What is the style of our home? If it is Victorian, could it be Folk Victorian? What specific references can I find in regards to exterior paint choices of this era?
