The Archbishop's Palace

The Archbishop's Palace in Hradcany was built on the foundations of a Renaissance home. The archbishop Anton Brus rebuilt the home in 1562-1564 under the direction of O. Aostalis.
A chapel with frescos was added in 1599-1600. The chapel is essentially unchanged, but the palace was rebuilt in the Baroque style in 1669-1694 by J. B. Mathey. The decorative portal with an inscription in Latin is still intact.
In the photo on the right, you can also see the silhouette of the castle gates flanked by a grandiose 18th century sculpture of fighting Titans.
