Is it a Victorian? |
||||||
"Can anyone please help me identify what type of home this is? It was built in 1928. The house is approximately 26 feet wide and 36 feet long. There is a matching dormer on the left (not visible) side of the house. There is nice woodwork inside, but I believe some of it is pine or fir (softwood). The floors are mostly hardwood. There is an open stairway. There are 3 bedrooms upstairs. The closets are large, but have partially sloped ceilings due to the roofline. The roof is steep, I'm guessing about 12/12. Notice it has decorative trusses and flared eaves. This house is located in North-central Iowa. My neighbors all refer to it as a Victorian, but it doesn't have most of the features I associate with a Victorian." ~SE200 Photo copyright © the homeowner |
