Mystery House #4
Mexican Mystery

The Mystery Answers from Readers

A reader seeks answers about the remarkable Mexican building his grandfather designed.
Can you help?

The Mystery

A reader in California writes:

I have an old postcard with a picture, of what I think is an old government building in Veracruz, Mexico called "Direccion De Faros." My Grandfather's name is to the right, bottom side of the photo as the architect. His name was Ingeniero Salvador Echagary and he was in Mexico on assignment from Spain. I am guessing this is in the 1800s . The building is a large two story design with a tall tower. I have tried searching all the above and come up empty. Can you help out?

Do you know anything about this beautiful building? Can you give the architect's grandson any insights about its construction or style? Use this easy form to send your comments and ideas.
