What is Austin Stone?

Austin Stone is named after the stone quarries in Austin, Texas. The stone may be set in orderly rows or irregular patterns.

On newer buildings, the "Austin Stone" is often a man-made material manufactured from Portland cement, lightweight natural aggregates and iron oxide pigments. Both natural and man-made Austin Stone are durable and attractive choices for exterior siding.
