The Neo-Gothic Tribune Tower In the early 1920s, the Chicago Tribune wanted to build the "most beautiful office building in the world." Yet, out of all the proposals submitted to their competition, they selected a conservative Neo-Gothic design by architects Raymond Hood and John Howells. Why Neo-Gothic?     Keep the Vinyl?

    From the Forum: "I bought a house built in 1946 that has been covered with vinyl siding. I am wondering if the vinyl should be removed or left intact. I don't care for the color and there are several places where the vinyl has been damaged. Any thoughts?"
