Richard Rogers Wins the Pritzker

175 Greenwich Street, World Trade Center Site In the world of architecture, a Pritzker is like an Emmy, an Oscar, and a Nobel Prize all rolled into one. This year's winner, British architect Richard Rogers, has been dazzling the world for four decades.

In grand yet nearly transparent buildings, exposed braces create a luminescent, lace-like effect. Light floods open, flowing spaces.
