About Your Mail Order House

The proud owner of an American Foursquare home in New England is looking to buy an old Sears floor plan. He laments, "The closest one, design-wise, to our house that I have found is the Castleton Honor Bilt No. 227."
So, where can he go to find the original plan for his own home? For starters, our reader will need to confirm that his house was, indeed, made by Sears. Several other companies also manufactured mail order houses. Also, local builders frequently imitated the popular catalog homes. Confused?
