It's Oscar time again, but architecture seems to be out of the picture.
Once we had movie theaters that resembled palaces with gilt arches, ornate moldings, and plush carpeting. Now even Cesar Pelli's 1996 Art Deco cinema in Celebration, Florida is closed. We'll just have to watch movies about architects and architecture.
