What could be more pleasant than sunny southern California in mid-February? Visit during Modernism Week, from February 14 until the 24th, to celebrate midcentury modern Architecture in Palm Springs, California. This year the star of the show is a residence called Sunnylands in nearby Rancho Mirage. But you'll have to read the book—the Sunnylands tour buses have been fully scheduled for weeks.
