Today might be the last chance to convince the Maya to save the world—the Mayan "long count" calendar stops tomorrow, on 12-21-12, which some have suggested will be Armageddon. In and around Mexico's Yucatán Peninsula, Mayan Architecture is testament to this ancient civilization's fascination with numbers—geometry, economy, astronomy, acoustics, and, of course, the number of human sacrifices needed to please the the feathered god Kukulcan.
