Norway's Field of Peace

Tuesday December 9, 2008
Nobel Field at the Nobel Peace Center in Oslo, Norway
In a darkened room at the Nobel Peace Center in Oslo, Norway, a field of LED screens on Plexiglas rods displays images of Nobel Peace Prize winners. Approach a screen, and it springs to life with a video presentation about the featured winner. The 2008 Nobel Peace Prize winner Martti Ahtisaari will be immortalized here. The UN diplomat and former President of Finland is scheduled to receive his prize on December 10 during a ceremony at the nearby Oslo City Hall.
