National Architecture Week
Tuesday April 8, 2008
Last year, when the AIA (American Institute of Architects) turned 150, Congress passed a resolution to create an official National Architecture Week that would be celebrated each year around the anniversary of the founding of the AIA in 1857.
This year, National Architecture Week is April 7-14. The occasion brings special exhibits, lectures, discussions, and tours to cities across the USA, with the main events taking place in Washington DC. To learn more about the celebrations in Washington, see Architecture Week 2008. Also be sure to check with your local AIA chapters to find events where you live.
