And speaking of urban design, AARP The Magazine has their own list of favorites: Five Best Cities for Baby Boomers and Seniors.

The criteria? Folks over fifty will be happiest in pedestrian-friendly cities designed according to New Urbanist principles, says AARP. My own favorite? Boston's Beacon Hill... if only I could afford it.
