Loving Frank (Lloyd Wright)

Tuesday August 7, 2007
Loving Wright by Nancy Horan

Ever since Ayn Rand, writers have been fascinated by the stormy personal life of Frank Lloyd Wright. Never mind the genius of Fallingwater or his Prairie Style architecture. How about that love affair he had with Mamah Borthwick Cheney?

Ayn Rand's book The Fountainhead, gave us an entirely fictionalized version of a Wright-like character. Nancy Horan's new book Loving Wright (compare prices) is also classified as fiction, but the story it tells is carefully researched and as compelling as any Ayn Rand could have invented.
