Cobbing Together an Outhouse

A reader from Toronto writes, "My local park is building a cob structure to house a composting toilet with volunteer labour and materials."

Cob is an eco-friendly material made from soil, sand, and straw. Here are photos of the cob outhouse project.

Now that's what I call earth architecture!

You left out a key–and ironic–ingredient for the outhouse’s cob recipe: manure.
