Return of the Superdome

Tuesday September 26, 2006
The Louisiana Superdome Cheers went up for the Saints last night when the New Orleans home team came marching into the Louisiana Superdome, that spaceship-shaped landmark near the French Quarter. The dome-topped stadium sheltered thousands from the wrath of Hurricane Katrina last summer, before the storm slashed panels from the roof. Now the distinctive dome is fully repaired and the New Orleans Saints played their first home game since December 2004. The game was spectacular, the Saints were victorious, and so was the dome.
