Student Survival Kit

Summer's over and for a lot of us, it's time to hit the books. Here are three of my favorite resources for high school and college students:
  • Crash Course in Architecture

  • Take a whirlwind tour through architectural history. These links will give you a quick history of architecture in the Western world, from prehistoric megaliths to modernist skyscrapers.
  • Find Architecture on the Web

  • Whether you are writing a research paper or simply curious about buildings and design, you want to find answers fast. This page is your guide to finding architecture facts and photos on the Web.
  • Books You Should Own

  • If you are planning to study for a career in architecture, you'll want to build up your collection of essential reference books and important titles related to building and design. The books listed here are frequently required in college classes and recommended by architects and professors of architecture.
