Brazil's Star Architect Collects His Prize

Today in Istanbul, Turkey, Brazilian architect Paulo Mendes da Rocha formally receives the revered Pritzker Prize, which includes a $100,000 grant and a bronze medallion.
The riches go to an architect who is often praised for practicing economy and conserving resources. Paulo Mendes da Rocha uses concrete and steel to design bold, simple forms.
