Architecture 2006
Sunday May 21, 2006
Every spring I look forward to the New York Times special magazine section on architecture. This year's edition, Architecture 2006, just hit the newsstands, and it's packed with enough to keep me reading and thinking for months to come. The Times writers talk with Richard Rogers about socially conscious construction, visit World Trade Center master planner Daniel Libeskind in his New York loft, and tour a New Mexico house called Turbulence.
The resounding theme of this year's issue is controversy. Architecture, the writers claim, is the only art form we still battle over. Can that be? Read Architecture 2006 online; post your comments below.
