A Dream Dies On Ground Zero

The original World Trade Center towers were destroyed in a cataclysmic attack. The new tower, an inspired design by Daniel Libeskind, has seen a slower death, writes architecture critic Ada Louise Huxtable in the Wall Street Journal. In bits and pieces, the dream has been dismantled, to be replaced by "an awkwardly torqued hybrid" of the original vision, Huxtable says. Read more:
