House Helpline: Did this house come from a "kit"?

Built in 1926, this simple bungalow nestles in an historic neighborhood in La Verne, California. The original redwood siding is still intact, and the interior rooms have lots of built in drawers and cabinets. "We think this might be a kit house," the owner writes, "but haven't found any positive evidence such as stamped lumber." What do you think?
