Forgotten Women Designers

Forget the skyscrapers and lofty monuments. According to architectural historians, our most intimate buildings -- the homes we live in -- have often been shaped by women. In 19th century America, many women designed and published building plans for their homes and barns. In honor of Women's History Month, here's a look at forgotten women designers, with plans for a woman-design farmhouse from 1847.
