Why the Twin Towers Collapsed

In a 500-page report, investigators are now saying that New York's World Trade Center Towers did not collapse because of problems in its design. Although some elements in the construction of the buildings might have contributed, investigators believe that the most serious shortcomings were in the communcations equipment and dispatching system of the Fire and Police Departments.
