Berlin Holocaust Memorial Takes Form

After many years of discussion and debate, plans to build a memorial to Holocaust victims is finally underway in Berlin, Germany. Designed by U.S. architect Peter Eisenman, the Berlin Holocaust Memorial will contain an "undulating field" of 2,700 charcoal-gray concrete slabs.
