Gehry's Disney Overture

Monday August 11, 2003
So far, only a privileged few have toured Frank Gehry's nearly completed Disney Hall in downtown Los Angeles, but opinions are flying. Newsweek calls the Gehry's building a "A Mighty Monument to Music." But the Los Angeles radio station KCRW says Gehry's building is a disappointment. "His buildings may twirl, but they tend to be flat-footed and not particularly pedestrian friendly. Urban design is not Frank's forte," KCRW reports.
